Entities interested in collaborating with Pennsylvania and Ohio exporters are welcome to join the OPEI!
The OPEI Advisory Committee meets every four months to discuss initiatives in support of export trade. The committee currently consists of 25 executives from all sectors of international trade ranging from private sector manufacturers to international bankers, ports, attorneys, CPAs, freight forwarders and economic developers.
For state line counties in Ohio and Pennsylvania to work together in support of export trade makes sense, due to common industry characteristics, shared workforce, and collective opportunities and challenges.
The initiative is spearheaded by the OPEI Core Committee, consisting of the Northwest Commission, Youngstown State University SBDC, Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber, Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP, and Dalko Resources, Inc.
In order to truly reflect on our service area, the OPEI doubled its footprint to 20 counties as shown in the map above.
